Unlike traditional planetary gearboxes that rely on standard spur teeth—which can shear or wear down under pressure—the cycloidal design utilizes a rolling (reduced tooth difference) disc mechanism. This allows almost all internal components to share the load simultaneously, making the gearbox virtually indestructible under heavy shock loads.
